Lyft Senior Product Manager, Pickup Experiences in San Francisco, California

At Lyft, our mission is to improve people’s lives with the world’s best transportation. To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.

Lyft’s Mapping team builds and operates a mapping platform that powers Rideshare-specific experiences – everything from helping Riders search for a destination to navigating Drivers safely and efficiently from pickup to drop off. This role is focused on reimagining the end to end pickup experience – enabling Riders and Drivers to safely and seamlessly rendezvous at the correct pickup spot. Imagine the last time you requested a Lyft ride in a busy downtown area or after a concert. Did your pickup spot feel safe? Did you have to walk to the pickup point, cross the street, or dodge buses, bikes, and high speed cars? Did your driver arrive on the correct side of the road? Could both you and your driver easily recognize the pickup spot? Was there a front entrance and back entrance, and did you know which one was better for pickup? Did your driver get stuck in unexpected traffic or road closures? In this role on the Mapping team, you will tackle all of these challenges and more, with end to end ownership over the full ride pickup experience from data quality to backend services to frontend app UX. This role has the potential to positively impact millions of Riders and Drivers every day by building a seamless and safe pickup experience for every ride.

Responsibilities:

  • Build deep customer empathy for the Rideshare pickup experience – through user research, data analysis, and real-world usage of the Lyft platform.

  • Ability to conceptualize, manage and prioritize multiple projects for stakeholders
